Green forehead, lores and crown yellowish-green cheeks red ear covered yellow, greenish blue patch under the eye. Narrow violet-pale blue band on breast progressing to red band. Length: 18 cm. Distribution: Papua New Guinea. Natural diet: Nectar, fruits particular figs, flowers and buds; and insects from time to time. Provide vegetables, carrot cucumber etc. Spacious aviary, strict hygiene necessary. Breeding: Regularly achieved. |
