Plumage green, head grey to dark grey, lower breast and abdomen yellow to orange-yellow. Length 23 cm. Distribution: Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau and Senegal. Natural diet: Seeds, fruits, Maize and peanuts “ like’s figs!!” Provide regular supply of wood, enjoys chewing decaying wood and rotten root-stems. Like’s a quiet and sheltered aviary, the best 2.5x1x2m. But adapts perfect in smaller aviary’s. Breeding: Often achieved. |
