General plumage brownish olive-green, center of abdomen and lower thighs dull red. Length 45 cm. Distribution: Southern Buenos Aires (Argentina), moves in the winter North to Mendoza, Entre Rios, Uruguay and Chile. Natural diet: Seeds, fruits, berries and nuts. Provide rotten tree stump for chewing. Like’s spacious aviary 2 sq. meters per pair. Breeding: Often achieved. |
